Observations for TESL 0170

I was fortunate to be able to observe the class over three weeks in October. My journal reflects the examples of strong teaching practices that I was able to see demonstrated by the instructor. There is a lot that happens in the classroom that relies on flexibility, intuitiveness and knowing the needs of your students. While the curriculum and the lesson plan are important my observations also showed me the importance of making connections with students, incorporating humor and teaching 'in the moment'. I have at least 25 pages of notes that I have narrowed down to the observations in my journal reflection.
